Tastykake and the bishops...

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops The US Bishops head to Charm City for their annual November meeting. On the agenda are the last of the Roman Missal items, along with documents on marriage, reproductive technology and medically assisted nutrition and hydration.

I'm glad the Archbishop decided to share the Tastykakes. I would be in incredible shape today if not for those damn Butterscotch Krimpets, Kremies, Chocolate Juniors and especially the Koffee Kakes. A bad day as a kid was when Mom would confuse the desserts in the lunches and I would get Lucinda's Kandy Kakes... the only ones I wouldn't eat ;-(

About a decade ago I'm in a Wawa in Northeast Philly, dying for a cream filled chocolate cupcake, when the guy tells me that a former Philadelphia, now living in Hawaii, just bought every last TastyKake -- around 400 of them ;-(

So for all you Philly people living outside the Delaware Valley, and all you who've always wanted one... click Tastykake.com! I hear they have sugar free and low cal products now.

Because "Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a Tastykake". (come on, you're singing it already ;-)

And Archbishop Tim Dolan of New York and Cardinal Rigali
meet to settle a wager on the outcome of the World Series.

So Cardinal Rigali graciously presented -- and Archbishop Dolan gleefully
received -- the Tastykakes, which he made available to everyone.
